<p>We&apos;re looking for a part-time <strong>Computer Science Technical Editor</strong> to work with new authors.</p>
<p>You&apos;ll be reviewing articles and providing technical feedback.</p>
<p><strong>Budget and Time Commitment</strong></p>
<p>You&apos;re going to be working with 7-8 authors to help them with their articles.</p>
<p>An article usually takes about two rounds of review until it&apos;s ready to go. All of this usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes of work for a small to a medium article and can take 60 minutes for larger writeups. Overall, you&apos;ll spend somewhere around 10 hours/month.</p>
<p>The budget for the position is 600$ / month. Note that this is the starting level in the budget. Then, based on your metrics &#x2013; there are other levels internally.</p>
<p><strong>Additional Details</strong></p>
<p>The goal is to make sure that the article hits a high level of quality before it gets published. That means that the code examples should be runnable and correct and that the formatting and style match the guidelines of the site.</p>
<p>Beyond formatting and style, articles should be code-focused, clean and easy to understand. Sometimes an article is almost there, but not quite &#x2013; and the author needs to be guided towards a better solution or a better way of explaining some technical concepts.</p>
<p><strong>Who is the right candidate?</strong></p>
<p>First &#x2013; you need to be active in the Computer Science area yourself, teaching or working in R&amp;D departments. All of these articles are code-centric, so being in the trenches and able to code is instrumental.</p>
<p>Second &#x2013; and it almost goes without saying &#x2013; you should have a good command of the English language.</p>            </div>

About the Role

The Senior Curriculum Developer is a hands on contributor accountable for the successful design, creation, and maintenance of App Academy&#x2019;s key asset: its curriculum.&#xA0;

As a Senior Curriculum Developer, you&#x2019;ll be responsible for mentoring the curriculum development team, designing curricula from a higher level, and innovating teaching media. In collaboration with the development team, you will create world class content including articles, interactive projects, video lectures and assessments that achieve the company&#x2019;s goals of efficiently training new engineers to excel as full time software engineers. The ideal candidate will utilize both their professional engineering experience and their ongoing research of evolving industry best practices to create content that serves a diverse population of learners. The Senior Curriculum Developer will create content using creative and proven pedagogical practices.
